Our story

We started from a simple conviction: a dog's daily life deserves the same intention we give the home they live in. And the care that surrounds that life — the visits, the questions, the quiet days in between — deserves exactly the same thing.

The name
Pronounced Vayl — rhymes with sail, tale, mail.
We made up the name Vael. We wanted something calm and one syllable — nothing that sounded like every other pet app, nothing technical.
If you're curious where the feeling came from: we were thinking about weid, one of the oldest roots in human language — the root beneath words like wisdom, vision, and guide, all rooted in truly understanding something. We liked that idea enough to want it somewhere in the foundation of the name. Vael isn't a translation of weid, and you won't find it in any dictionary — it's ours, shaped to feel like it had always existed.

Before a single appointment, the most important thing is understanding who your dog actually is — their history, their quirks, the things only you would think to mention. Everything good follows from that.
